Eishtec Charity Barbecues Raise Money for Local Charities in Waterford, Wexford, Clonmel & Craigavon
Eishtec staff members were busy over the last six weeks organising charity barbecues for our Waterford, Wexford, Clonmel and Craigavon offices. Some offices had the perfect weather conditions for a barbecue while other offices were not so lucky.
Once again this year, Eishtec was overwhelmed with the generosity of our staff members who came out to support our charity barbecues in all types of weather conditions. All the contributions from staff members through buying burgers and hot dogs were donated to the chosen local charity for each office. We also received some very generous support from local business who donated items ranging from raffle prizes to equipment for the charity barbecues.
Here is a quick summary of the charity barbecue highlights for each of our office sites.
Eishtec Waterford Charity Barbecue
Our Eishtec office in Waterford held their annual Charity Barbecue on Wednesday, 1 August. Staff members came out to support this charity event in the wet and windy conditions. Our volunteers serving the flame grilled food came inside and served the food in the Eishtec lobby when the heavens began to open. Our brave chef Paddy Purtill remained out in the rain to keep the steady supply of burgers and sausages flowing.
Many local businesses in the area supported the Eishtec Waterford Charity Barbecue. Clem Jacob Hire kindly donated a barbecue for the day, SuperValu in the Hyper Centre donated burgers buns and rolls, the Blasta Bar donated burgers and sausages, Mean Bean Café supplied doughnuts and the Blueberry Café donated onions.
There was also prizes on the day donated by Kingfisher Leisure Centre, Faithlegg Golf Resort, Burzza, Bodega and Georges Court. Eishtec staff members that won prizes were extremely excited about the quality of the prizes won.
Eishtec Waterford raised €865 from their charity barbecue and raffle which will be donated to Pieta House. This was a fantastic effort from our staff volunteers considering the challenging weather conditions on the day.
Eishtec Wexford Charity Barbecue
Our Eishtec office in Wexford held their annual Charity Barbecue on Wednesday, 4 July. Staff members had a fantastic time enjoying delicious hamburgers and hot dogs while playing fun games outside in the fabulous sunny weather.
Two local businesses in the area supported the Eishtec Wexford Charity Barbecue. Raffle prizes for the barbecue were donated by Pettitt’s SuperValu. Eishtec staff members that won prizes were delighted to win a barbecue set and a barbecue hamper. Crazy Castles donated a slushy machine for staff members to enjoy some slush puppies in the sun.
Eishtec Wexford raised €700 from their charity barbecue and raffle which will be donated to ASK Wexford.
Eishtec Clonmel Charity Barbecue
Our Eishtec office in Clonmel held their annual Charity Barbecue on Friday, 27 July. There was plenty of music and entertainment for the barbecue as staff members enjoyed their food in the overcast weather conditions.
The Eishtec Clonmel Charity Barbecue received fantastic support from local businesses in the area. Tesco Clonmel donated burger and hot dog buns, South East Vending supplied the soft drinks, Curran’s and Brady’s provided the meat, Iverk Produce supplied the salad, and Linda Hunt provided the sauces.
There was also prizes donated by 3D Aesthetic, Hemera Hair, Iverk Produce, Quimby’s Café, the Park Hotel, Raheen House and TSB. The quality of the prizes on offer helped to make the barbecue the excellent success that it was.
Eishtec Clonmel raised €1,030 from their charity barbecue and raffle which will be donated to C-SAW Clonmel. The money raised for the Clonmel barbecue is even more impressive given the office has a workforce of 300 people.
Eishtec Craigavon Charity Barbecue
Our Eishtec office in Craigavon held their annual Charity Barbecue on Wednesday, 27 June. Our volunteer cooks from the Craigavon office cooked up a storm with their mouth watering burgers and hot dogs. We had some very happy campers as everyone enjoyed their grub with a dollop of scorching weather!
All the money raised from the Charity Barbecue will be donated to Lough Neagh Rescue which is the Eishtec Craigavon office charity of the year. Our team from Craigavon raised £200 from the barbecue.
Emer Phelan, Director of Operations for Eishtec gave the following statement about the Eishtec Charity Barbecue events “Now that the charity barbecues have been completed for all our office sites, I would like to congratulate all the volunteers that helped to make the barbecues a fantastic success! I would also like to give a special thank you to all staff members that donated to their office charity for the year through buying a burger or hot dog at these events. The amount of money raised for local charities is a testament to the generosity of Eishtec staff members”.
Eishtec would like to thank all the local business that donated food, equipment and raffle prizes for our Eishtec Charity Barbecue events. These events would not have been as successful in raising funds for local charities without their support. We look forward to announcing more charitable fundraising events in the coming months.
